Sunday 2/20/11

Mimi's prayer cross at Mesquite Hollow:

Karen and Cam spent last night at Courtney’s house.  Caroline slept over with us as well, so it was one big slumber party.  This morning, Courtney tried to catch a little extra sleep while Karen, Caroline, and Cam went for a run on the Bear Trail (circles the Baylor Campus), then had hot chocolate at Common Grounds.  Courtney joined the 3 of us for the service at Antioch Baptist Church – very contemporary, great music.

 Baylor Student Life Center:
After church, the four of us met Mom, Dad, Larry, and Lucy at Mesquite Hollow for “Uncle Dan’s BBQ”, a little fishing, naps, and a nice visit.  Karen and Cam tried out the new fishing rods that were gifts from Jose and Zeida on the first stop in Columbia, SC.  We each caught a fish on our very first casts, so these rods must have come with some good luck attached to them.
Karen and Cam with a couple of good catches (Karen is not too sure what to do with this fish):
And some not-so-great catches:
Tonight, Caroline had to study, but the rest of us went to see the Liam Neesen movie, “Unknown”.  We were also joined by Lucy’s son Elijah.  The movie was a good suspense/mystery/thriller, and we all sat on the edges of our seats throughout the film.  Cam was happy to spend the night in his old bedroom tonight.
We drove 73 miles today.

  4. That's DAD'S prayer altar (Genesis 28: 16-22 and many other verses) which he built to thank God for Mesquite Hollow. It's pretty special, isn't it?
